Cherry Compote with Apples and Blueberries / Kompot z Wisni z Dodatkiem Jablek i Jagod

Delicious fruit compote. It tastes best chilled, served with ice cubes. But you can also serve it warm with dinner in fall and in winter you can use frozen cherries.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg cherries
  • 4 apples
  • 20 g blueberries
  • 5 tbsp sugar (optional)
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 2-3 l water

Instructions

  • Wash cherries, wash and throw them into the pot. 
  • Wash apples, cut them into 4 and cut out the seed nests. Do not peel. Add to cherries.
  • Wash blueberries and place with cherries and apples. Pour water, add sugar and 2 tablespoons of vanilla sugar, boil. Simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let cool. Then put in the fridge overnight. Serve cold with ice cubes
