Quick Mushroom Sauce / Sos Pieczarkowy

- 300 g Champignon mushrooms (may use other mushrooms too, cooking directions may vary)
- 1 medium onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp oil
- 120 ml half and half
- 1 pinch salt to taste
- 1 pinch pepper to taste
- 1/2 bunch fresh parsley leaves or fresh dill (optional)
Clean the mushrooms and cut them into slices. Peel onion and garlic, then chop finely.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a frying pan. Add the onion and fry until the onion turns golden brown. Add garlic and fry for another 1-2 minutes.
Add another tablespoon of butter to the onion and garlic and add the chopped mushrooms. Fry for about 5 minutes until the mushrooms are browned. Season the mushrooms with salt.
Place half and half into the pan, season with pepper and add chopped parsley or dill. Simmer thoroughly until the sauce thickens. Enjoy!
