Steamed Biscuits with Strawberry Sauce / Paruchy /Pampuchy z Truskawkami

Many names, one dessert: Paruchy/Pampuchy are nothing but delicate dumplings/biscuits cooked by steaming and served with sweet sauces and fruit, but also as an addition to meats and gravies. I used the ready made country butter tasting biscuits here. I prefer to make my own dough for better taste as included in the previous recipe.
Biscuits can be served hot or cold, with berries, jams, pork, gravies or butter, sugar and cinnamon. They are delicious with strawberries or blueberries mixed with sugar, sour cream and/or yogurt.

Ingredients

  • 5 country butter tasting biscuits steamed (Do not use flaky biscuits)
  • 1/2 lbs. strawberries or other berries
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (Optional)
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream or plain yogurt

Instructions

  • Into a large bowl /blender add washed and dried strawberries without stalks and blend, add sugar and sour cream/yogurt, mix and ready to be poured over the steamed biscuits. Enjoy!
