Beef Hamburger Patties With Grated Mushrooms Polish Style / Kotlety Mielone Wolowe
Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Polish style hamburger patties with grated Champignon mushrooms. They are quick and easy to make and so delicious. Serve with mashed potatoes, fried cabbage, red beets or cucumber in sour cream. If you're lucky to have any left overs, you can make sandwiches the next day.

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (may be ground veal, pork, turkey or chicken)
- 5-6 medium Champignon mushrooms (optional)
- 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
- 1 medium yellow onion
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup plain bread crumbs (for coating)
- 1-2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup oil (for frying)
- 1 pinch salt to taste (may use seasoning salt instead)
- 1 pinch pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl place the breadcrumbs and add milk. Let the breadcrumbs absorb the milk for about 2-3 minutes. Add onions, garlic, mushrooms, egg and mix all well. I added a teaspoon of seasoned salt and mixed all well in a mixer. If you are using the mixer, it is best to add the meat at the end because we don't want to over mix the meat as it may become hard. It's always best to mix this by hand.
- Now add the ground beef and mix until all is well incorporated. If you are not using the seasoning salt then add salt and pepper to taste. If the mixture is too lose, you may add some bread crumbs to form a uniform mixture.
- Form small balls, coat in bread crumbs and shape the patties.
- Place in well-heated oil in a pan turning to the other side when golden brown. Enjoy!
