Crab Stuffed Champignon Mushrooms / Pieczarki Faszerowane Krabami
Polish people love mushrooms in a variety of dished. Stuffed mushrooms offer a wide range of possibilities for all those who like to experiment in the kitchen. You can stuff mushrooms with what ever you like the most and whatever comes to mind. It can be ground meat, spinach , cheeses and other vegetables with spices in a tomato sauce or any other fresh herbs. This is the easiest way to make amazingly fragrant mushrooms stuffed with crabs.

Ingredients
- 1 pound Champignon mushrooms (Works well with other mushrooms)
- 1/2 pound crab meat (finely chopped)
- 2 tablespoons yellow onion (finely chopped)
- 1/4 cup green celery (finely chopped)
- 2 tablespoons red bell peppers (finely chopped)
- 2 cups stuffing soaked (I used traditional stuffing)
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup water
- 6 slices white cheddar cheese (cut into 4 squares)
- 1 egg (optional)
- 1-2 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Wash mushrooms and remove stems. Set caps aside, and chop half of the stems.
- Sauté chopped mushroom stems, celery, onion and pepper in butter for 5 minutes over low heat. Transfer to a plate and cool in refrigerator for about 20 minutes.
- Combine sautéed vegetables and all other ingredients (except cheese slices) and mix well.
- Place mushroom caps on a parchment paper pan, stems side up. Spoon about a teaspoon of stuffing into each mushroom cap.
- Cover with a 1-2 pieces of sliced cheese.
- Bake for about 15 minutes until cheese is lightly brown.
