Beef Stew with Carrots / Gulasz Wolowy z Marchewka

This is the very easy and quick recipe for an amazing beef stew with carrots which add sweetness to the meat.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef chuck
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 4-5 carrots
  • 1 tbsp ground paprika
  • 1 cube beef bullion
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt (preferably Vegeta)
  • 1-2 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1 pepper to taste
  • 2 cups water
  • 1-2 tbsp oil

Instructions

  • Wash and dry the meat. Cut into small cubes. Heat the oil in the frying pan and brown the meat on high heat. Add finely chopped onion to the fried meat, add paprika and fry together for about 8 minutes until the onion is golden brown.
  • Now add water to the meat with the rest of the spices and simmer on low heat for at least an hour until the meat is tender. Now add the cubed carrots and simmer for additional 10 minutes. Mix flour with about 1/4 cup of water and add to the stew. Let it simmer until it thickens stirring occasionally. Serve warm. May reheat and serve the next day. Enjoy!
